Biographische Hinweise:
James Ernest Turner was born on 16th January 1909 in the village of Foots Cray, at the bottom of Sidcup Hill. He was educated at Wykeham House School and after he left Lancing College in 1925, he went up to Oxford to read English at Queens College.
