Bemerkung:   Das großformatige Plakat bewirbt die Performance „General Idea’s Hot Property!“ von General Idea in der Winnipeg Art Gallery in Winnipeg am Abend des 22. Oktober 1977. Die Performance wird wie „Going Thru the Motions“ (Art Gallery of Ontario, 18.09.1975) als Zuschauer*innenprobe für den „The 1984 Miss General Idea Pageant“ Schönheitswettbewerb beschrieben. Die Galerie soll dafür in ein TV-Studio verwandelt werden. Die musikalische Begleitung des Abends für die anschließende Party liefert die kanadische Punkband „The Dishes“. Die Informationen der Veranstaltung sind auf einen angekokelten Zeitungsauschnitt gedruckt, der sich von einem rot-schwarzen Hintergrund abhebt. Unter dem Zeitungsausschnitt ist eine s/w-Illustration einer Hand mit langen flammenden Nägeln abgebildet, die mit einer Axt auf ein brennendes Haus einschlägt. Auf der Rückseite des Plakats befindet sich ein Stempel mit dem Motiv der „The Hand of the Spirit of Miss General Idea“. // The large-format poster advertises the performance “General Idea’s Hot Property!” by General Idea at the Winnipeg Art Gallery in Winnipeg on the evening of 22 October 1977. Like “Going Thru the Motions” (Art Gallery of Ontario, 18 September 1975), the performance is described as an audience rehearsal for “The 1984 Miss General Idea Pageant.” The gallery is to be transformed into a TV studio for the event. The Canadian punk band The Dishes will provide the evening’s musical accompaniment for the subsequent party. The information about the event is printed on a crocheted newspaper clipping that stands out against a red and black background. Below the newspaper clipping is a b/w illustration of a hand with long flaming nails hitting a burning house with an axe. On the back of the poster is a stamp with the motif of “The Hand of the Spirit of Miss General Idea.”
